Stretch Your Chipboard!

Hi everyone!!! Today I am sharing some cards with you as well as some ideas on how to stretch your chipboard and get more use out of them. All of my chipboard is from Magistical Memories. I still have a bunch in my stash and still love it! :)

Here's a simple card I made using the Nesting Circles.

I first glued them on paper and then cut them into two pieces. I made a rainbow for my card. Then I used to remaining pieces to make this card:

I also used the bird on the above card.

Another idea is this...

For the above card I used the Owl Hang Around piece and sprayed it with some Glimmer Mist. Before spraying it, I put a piece of cardstock behind it. Then I used that cardstock for this card:

And added some leaves to it.

The papers for all of these cards come from Echo Park.

Happy World Card Making Day! Guess what I am sharing today? You betcha...cards! :) But you'll also want to scroll down to the end because I have a giveaway and some links you'll want to check out. ;)

First up...

This card uses papers from Echo Park Paper Company and chipboard from Magistical Memories. :) That cute "hello friend" stamp is from American Crafts (Love Struck Set). I made this card after making this layout and wanted to take that idea to a card. :)

This pretty card uses papers, gems, flowers and lace from Prima Marketing. I stamped that saying on fabric and added it to the card. The stamp is from Unity Stamp Company. Those circles on the dotted paper were just punched out, then I drew little hearts in them using 3D paint.

And then here is a card using the fabulous Summer's End collection from Fancy Pants Designs. I actually used their ribbon packaging to draw the shape for my card. It didn't turn out perfect, but it is good enough for me. :) I have always said that perfection is way overrated.

Hip Hop with Unity and Echo Park

This week for Hip Hop, we are sharing projects that use some of the FABULOUS and AMAZING new stamp sets from Unity and Echo Park. Yep...you heard right...another fabulous partnership. You'll want to start the hop at the Unity Blog.

I used the With Love and I Adore You stamp set. And Echo Park even sent papers for us to use so I got to play with those too. These papers and stickers are from the Be Mine line. Those stamp sets I used go specifically with this line.

So here's my layout:

I used my Helmar Quick Fix Adhesive Runner to adhere everything down. Here are some close up's of my layout:

It's Raining Glitter!

Yesterday was fall on my blog...today Christmas. :) That's right, I am sharing a Christmas layout with you today. I just LOVE Christmas time. In fact I am ready to already start listening to Christmas music. :) But I am forcing myself to wait until after Halloween. :(

Here's my layout today:

The snowflakes are from Magistical Memories. They were part of a mini book that I just used on my page instead. I added red glitter to them and then even a bit of stitching. It's actually not that hard to stitch through MM chipboard...they are the perfect width! All the papers and stickers are from Echo Park Paper Company. Here's some close up's:

I added the glitter by first spraying Helmar V2 Vellum Adhesive on my chipboard pieces and then covering with glitter. :) The rest of my layout was adhered with Helmar's 450 Quick Dry Adhesive.

That swirl is actually the negative part of a paper that I used my Quickutz Revolution to cut a swirl with.

Seriously...can I start sing Christmas music now? Even just looking at this layout makes me happy. :) I love Christmas.

Flip Flop Hip Hop

Well today is Thursday, so that means it is time for Unity's Hip Hop!!! But we're changing it up today...today we are doing a Flip Flop Hip Hop!!! What's that? Well we switched things up a bit and the Unity design team will be playing with Ippity stamps and the Ippity design team will be showcasing Unity stamps. Isn't it fun!!! You'll want to start the hop at the Unity Blog. If you came from Wendy then you are in the right place. :)

Here's my layout that I am sharing today...it's a bit different. :)

That huge chipboard owl was meant to be the cover of a mini album (by Magistical Memories)...but I am so much more of a layout girl then a mini album person, but I loved the owl...so I used it on my page! :) I stamped on the owl. Did you notice I also used that same stamp on my background to essentially create my own shaped paper?

The stamp sets I used are:

Scrap and Stamp Saturday

Hi everyone! It's Saturday! Yeah!!! I am thrilled because it's been a tough week...ready for it to be over. So the challenge at Scrap and Stamp is up. The challenge this week is to scrap some of your favorite things, and of course use at least one stamp on your layout. Here's the layout I made:

Even though it may be kind of embarrassing to show that I was watching Buffy, I still had to scrap my love for Netflix. It is seriously one of the best things ever! I love getting my movies in the mail, but even more...I love watching Netflix instantly on my tv! LOVE it! :)

Back to School Day 1

So for the next four days, me and a couple other gals will be sharing Back to School projects with you. I will have a RAK up every day too. :) So let's begin this fun...

My son has to have those composition notebooks for school, and while they do look cool by itself, I made a cover that he can slip over the notebook and make it personalized. :) Here it is:

CHA pics (part 2)

So, being that this was my first time attending CHA, I felt lucky to be able to walk around and see all the great booths, and all the fabulous new products coming out. :) I thought I would share with you some of the stuff I was impressed by. But really, this is hard, because I was impressed by almost ALL the booths and products! :)

And the BEST BOOTH AWARD goes to.....Graphic 45!!!! It was simply amazing. I didn't capture it very well, but here are several pictures...

(I love that they did this! Very few booths showed who their DT was.)

And then apparently this place has been around for several years, but this was the first I heard of them. I was amazed by their products. You all know I love canvas products but what I was most impressed with at Canvas Home Basics was actually their BURLAP products. Swoon worthy I tell ya! Here are some pics:

There was a little booth at the back of the show that was getting a lot of buzz! And I must say, I checked it out, and their papers are wonderful. So I am giving the BEST NEW COMPANY award to...Echo Park Paper Co. Here's a pic, but it's not a very good one:

And finally, I thought I would share one product that I just can't wait to use. Of course, it's from Prima Marketing...I love Prima. Here it is:
