Mini Album

I have a photo heavy post for you today.  :)  It's a mini album I made, however it is not really serving as a mini album, but rather as home decor.  It is an accordian album and it stands open on our fireplace mantle.

There you have it.  :)  Just a bunch of my favorite photos that I wanted to display.  And for now, I guess I need to go...one son is crying and the other apparently bit him!  Ugghhh!

2 Page Madness

Ok...after working on the look of my blog all morning (why do these kind of things take me so long???) I think I am finally ok with it.  What do you think?

Well I did want to post something today too.  :)  It seems magazines, manufacturer's, and challenge sites are big into 2 page layouts again.  While I will always be a one-page kind of gal, I am making more off an effort to do a two pager every now and then.  So here is one for you...

And some close up's...

Thanks for looking!  :)  I sure appreciate all of you coming by and I love it when you leave comments...seriously, thank you!  Have a great Wednesday!

Supplies:
Cardstock--Bazzill, Patterned Papers--Kaisercraft, Chipboard Letters--Kaisercraft, Paint--Making Memories, Flower--unknown, Droplets--Kaisercraft, Thread/Floss--Prism

Pardon My Mess

If you visit my blog this morning...I am working on updating the look.  So, if you can't see the text or if things just don't look right....sorry, I'm working on it!  :)

Canvas Hanging

Wanted to show you something I made for Marks Paper Company that has been up on their blog.  It's completely hybrid.  :)

I printed a digital paper on canvas for the background.  It is really difficult to see in the photo.  It's backed with cardboard and then there is twill around the whole thing.  I wanted something I made from scratch.  Here's what I used to make my canvas...

Putting it all together with the stitching was the hardest part.  Those pieces on it are chipboard.  I just printed some digital papers that I blended together and then adhered it onto the chipboard.

I figure it's something different.  :)

SC Sketch 140

Oh man...this morning is totally gettting away from me!  It's been one of those "don't really accomplish anything" mornings.  Should have known when I woke up to a bunch of snow that things weren't going to go my way today.

So here is the sketch for this week...

And here is what my fabulous team came up with for the sketch...

Sookie Francisco--

And to all those wondering about the DT call...man I had a tough time narrowing it down to 3!  I want to thank everyone who submitted for the call.  Please don't be discouraged if I didn't pick you for the team.  Those ladies joining the rest of my fabulous team are...

Congratulations ladies!  I can't wait to work with you!

An Awesome Deal

I played around last night and made a couple new digi layouts:

All supplies came from a fantastic mega kit called "Picnic in the Park."  And right now...you can get it for free!  When I found out, I was on it...spent $10 on awesome supplies at {we are} Storytellers (which went far since everything was on sale) and got the kit for free!  Here are the details...

If you have ever thought about trying digital scrapbooking...now is the time!  :)  Head on over to {we are} Storytellers, they have tons of great stuff!

CPS 112

Here's my CPS card for the week.  I keep looking at it and all I see is white space!  LOL...it's hard for me, I have to resist the urge to add more.

I didn't get much done last night...I watched too much tv.  :)  I watched American Idol, and then Lost, and then this movie called "Belle and the Beast: A Christian Romance."  Wow...that was a lot of tv for one night.  Tonight...no tv for me.

Supplies:
Cardstock--Archivers, Paper--cut from packaging, Trim--Websters Pages, Vinyl swirl--American Crafts, Chipboard and gems--Heidi Swapp, Glimmer Mist (sprayed on butterfly)--Tattered Angels, Glitter--Stickles, Stamp and Ink--Stampin' Up!, and thread--Prism.

SL Reveals, a Photo, and some News :)

So let's start with the reveals for ScrapLovers. We were working with Cosmo Cricket this month. For some reason I have a hard time with Cosmo Cricket. Don't get me wrong...CC has fabulous lines, but I never seem to be satisfied with my personal work when I work with them. And (you may remember this) the paper line I got to work with this month was "Ever After" but I received the embellishments from the "Girl Friday" line which made it a little more difficult. Anyways, here's what I did to finish off my DT work for April...

Moving on to photos. I do tend to edit my photos before I use them (just little things like adjusting the colors or contrast), but I am no pro at all! Well last night I took on a big task (I thought). See this WAS one of my favorite photos:

It is from our honeymoon. Well when we moved from Idaho to Colorado...it got ruined. Somehow it got stuck to the glass frame it was in and then we apparently tried to rub off some stuff that was on it...and ruined it even more! Last night I sat down, scanned it into the computer, and tried to fix it. Now it still has problems, and I know a lot of people could do much better than I, but here is how it looks now:

Amazing difference, huh? Like I said it still has issues, particularly around my mouth (that was the hardest part for me), but I am happy I was able to make it look better. I basically just used the clone tool in Photoshop to fix my photo.

And last, but certainly not least...

Did you see the latest news??? Check it out here! :)
