{Jammed Packed with} Techniques Class (Day 1)

Hello everyone! So I designed a technique class for Rusty Pickle for this year. Sadly, as you know, Rusty Pickle is closing. I thought about teaching the class online. But then, I don't have access to any of the supplies. So I thought I would just post it all here. :) Perhaps you will be inspired by the techniques.

Other Supplies Needed:
· Scissors, Craft Knife, Trimmer
· White Paint
· Pink Glimmer Mist
· Black Pen
· White Pen
· Adhesive (specifically double-sided tape or heat gun for certain parts of project)

I started by painting all of the chipboard pages in the book white. Well, except for the parts I knew I was going to be covering.

**Please pardon my messy table...it has paint all over it. :)

Cover

1. Create your first row of pleats with 2 pieces of 1.5 x 12 paper (choice #1 or RP734).

2. Adhere your pleated strip to the far right (the wing's edge) of the wing. I recommend using that double-sided red tape (where you just peel off the red backing).

3. After adhering, turn your page over and trim off the excess paper. **I did this after each step in my pictures, but you could save this step and trim off all the excess after doing all the pleating.

3. Repeat steps 1, 2 and 3, moving in towards the heart with the next 6 paper choices at 1.5 x 12.

4. Using template 1, cut your 1 piece of 4 x 7.5 paper (I used RP733) into the half heart shape and adhere to the front of the book.
5. Outline your half heart paper in black.
6. Make sure you punch your holes so you don't cover them up. :)

7. Paint chipboard "P" and add to front cover.
8. Add the word "pink" from Pink Candy Land Alphabet Stickers (or your choice lettering) on top of the chipboard "P".
9. Add gem to create the dot above the letter "i".

10. Add any additional embellishments you want.

My original album cover looked like this:

Ok, tomorrow we will move on to page 2 and 3. So come back to see more!

Have an awesome Tuesday!

Lovin' this Pamela! I hope to be able to work on this over the weekend...or early next week, if I can't get to it this weekend. I have a chipboard house album I'm going to try to use.

Thanks for sharing this class. I'd received one of these albums during the RP Amazing Race and had no idea what to do with it. Using your class, I was just finally able to finish the album up with my journey through my pregnancy with my son. I linked your class (this post) in the blog post I have with mine. Again, thanks SOO much for sharing.
