Scrap and Stamp Saturday

This week's challenge includes an awesome chance at some winning Rusty Pickle yumminess! Here's a picture at what you can win:

Now how can you get this you ask? Make a scrapbook page about your craft space. On it use at least one chipboard piece AND include stamping on your chipboard. Then go here and post a link to your page. :)

Here's the layout that I made for this challenge:

I used Rusty Pickle papers, chipboard, trim and bling. :) The stamps are all from Unity Stamp Company.

Here are some close up's:

btw...I used this piece of chipboard to help me with the stitching of my arrow. I placed it on my page and poked my holes for stitching using the chipboard as a template.

I just love this stamp:

Anyways...so there you have it. I REALLY hope you play along with us this week! :) Have an awesome weekend!

Hip Hop Hangover (last one)

Hip Hop Hangover

Yep...it is sad, this is the last Hip Hop Hangover post. Unity Stamping Company has decided to end their Hip Hop Thursdays and Hip Hop Hangovers on Fridays. They promise to have new fun stuff in store for us though. But I couldn't miss the last HHH. :) So I have made two layouts to show you. I usually try to use just one or two stamp sets to keep it easy on you all, but this time I used stamps from all sorts of sets. :)

I ordered a few Hambly papers which came this week so I got those out. Of course, I also through some Tattered Angels in. Lately I have been adding glimmer mist to everything. The fabulous Unity stamps that I used came from the following stamp sets:

* Pocket Full of (July KOTM)--the clouds
* Bevy of Butterflies--the butterfly
* Following My Heart (August KOTM)--the trees
* Fresh Beginnings (April KOTM)--"I love you"

Here are some close up's:

And this is the second layout:

I tried to make it look like snow was coming out of the elephant...lol. Here are the Unity stamp sets that I used:

* 100% Happiness--the "Happy" "Lucky" "Fun" labels
* CKU giggles--Journaling frame
* Following my Heart (Auguust KOTM)--Flower/Snowflake design
* Swooshie Twist--the background that I stamped and embossed on the white cardstock

And some close-up's:

Make sure to check out Angela's blog and view the rest of the HHH posts!

Austin the photographer :)

So I have talked before about the camera that my son has. He loves it and takes TONS of pictures! lol...no, he couldn't possibly have gotten that from me. :) The camera has this ability to add digital embellishments to the screen when you take pictures, and he has a lot of fun with it. I decided to print off some of his pictures and make a page with them. I think it will be hilarious to look back on these. :)

I just love it! :) Some of the stuff he takes pictures of is so random! And that one of Kelby with the horns...priceless! So I made a fun page for some fun pics.

Hope you all have an awesome hump day!

Supplies:
Cardstock--American Crafts, Papers, Chipboard Letters and Die Cuts--My Little Shoebox, Chipboard Frame--Rusty Pickle, Maya Road mists (on chipboard), Thread--DMC.

I know...I know....

I owe you a winner. :)

So here it is, the winner is......

So Amy, please send me your address (pamelacy@msn.c0m) and I will get this Scarlet Lime kit mailed out to you. :)

Thanks to everyone for the comments! More giveaways will come soon. :)

And just to post something else, here's a layout I made. It uses papers, stickers, and ribbon from Pebbles, Inc. :)

This was our first picture as a family of 5. It was taken just before Austin's Kindergarten "graduation" last Spring. That little pic is started to bug me though....I may have to straighten it. :)

Hope you have a fabulous Tuesday!!!

SC Sketch 158

So...today was the first day of first grade for my oldest. And I have to admit, it has totally thrown a loop in my morning routine. But that's ok, we'll get used to it. It was a bit stressful dropping him off though. We drove around...couldn't find a park. We did get there 20 minutes early. Ended up parking as far as you could possibly park from where he lines up, at the top of a parking garage. And of course, couldn't use a stroller, so I walked down four flights of stairs, and across a parking lot then all the way across the school, then back...carrying Eryn in her car seat. And let me tell you...she is heavy now! My arms felt a bit like jello afterwards. Tomorrow, I think we will get the stroller and just walk from our house. It would probably be faster and much more relaxing. Seriously, my morning has just been chaotic.

So anyways....here's the new sketch for today...

And here is what the fabulous SC girls did with the sketch...

And finally, I know this doesn't give you many days notice, but....

Another Hip Hop Hangover :)

***in case you missed it, I have a giveaway in the post below this.

Unity Stamp Co. is a favorite of mine! You all know that. But now I love them even more...they are totally embracing scrapbooking! Which as you all know is my first obsession. Yesterday they showed their new scrapbooking kit....a fabulous stamp set, and they have partnered with some other companies to bring papers too! You can read about it here. So I have pre-ordered mine, and I just wanted to pass the word along to all my scrapbooking friends. :)

I do have some Unity to post today...but not scrapbooking. I used my Rusty Pickle stuff to make these two cards:

This one uses two tree stamps: Shurbery Tree and Shade Tree.

The papers are from a mix of RP lines. The background and bunny are from Chocolate Bunnies. The trees are from Under the Stars and French Market.

And this one is based on a sketch at Paper Crafts. Again, papers are all Rusty Pickle, from the Chocolate Kisses line. The stamp is from the June kit of the month: Perfect in Every Way.

Well there you have it. :) Hope you have a fabulous Friday!!!!

Getting Creative and a GIVEAWAY!!!! :)

So I love to get creative...to think of new ways to use things. I was altering a birdhouse and I really wanted a tree to go with it. So I searched my stash for something to use as a tree. Here's what I found...

Yep, two pieces of chipboard--a large letter I and a wheel for a pirate ship. :)

Here's my birdhouse and tree...

I love how it turned out. Even love the big bow on the tree. :) The papers and chipboard are all Rusty Pickle. :)

And now that you have made it through that...I will give you what you want.

It's my two year blogoversary...well it was on Sunday...so I have a giveaway...a fabulous giveaway. :) Again, I have a kit pile-up. Too much other stuff to do. So I am giving away my August Scarlet Lime kit. You can't buy it, it is sold out, but one lucky person will get one here on my blog.

For a full list of the contents in this kit, click here.

So leave me a comment, and I will draw a name for it. For an extra chance at the giveaway--post about my giveaway somewhere...then leave me another comment with a link to where you posted it. Simple enough. I will close this drawing Sunday night at midnight (MT). Good luck everyone!

More Tattered Angels

Remember how I said I am playing with Tattered Angels stuff this week...well here are two more projects I did. I am having so much fun. :)

This first one is a layout. I sprayed glimmer mist on my background paper (around tags) and on the lace (it was real white and I made it more yellow-ish) and on the patterned paper layered near bottom, and on the crocheted flower, and on the bird. I also used their glimmer glass and glimmer chips.

Here are some close-up's:

The papers and stickers are from Websters Pages. They work beautifully with the Tattered Angels stuff.

And here is a mini album I made from Tattered Angels' Framed Fonts pieces. And of course, to understand the album..remember our last name is Young. :)

I hope to be able to play even more this week.

Oh and here's a card I did a while back but never got it posted on here. But it uses glimmer mist and a glimmer screen. :)

I do hope you all are having a fabulous week!!!!! :)
