A Christmas House

I ordered these Maya Road houses from the Coconut ScrapShop awhile ago. I was so excited about them. I wanted to make several Christmas houses for decoration this year. I love these houses.

Well it has taken me a while but I finally finished my first Christmas house. Here it is:

I started with the house and adhered patterned paper (by Imaginisce) to it. I painted the roof white and then covered it with gemstones. I added the trim to the edges for a special touch. Then I painted all the chipboard that came with the house white. I decided to fold strips of paper and put them behind the windows to look like cool drapes. I added a few other random things to the house, then I moved on to the "snow". I punched circles, added white flock, and cut in half...then I randomly arranged them around the bottom of the house to look like piles of snow. I sprayed the chipboard tree with glimmer mist and then added the hearts to it with stitches (because I love hearts). Then I embossed some of the edges with white embossing powder to make it look like there was some snow on the tree. When I added a line of 3D paint all around the bottom of the house and the swirls on the side, it just seemed to bring it all together. My last step was to adhere the tree to the front.

And did you know, that each of these cool houses comes with chipboard pieces and a chipboard mini album! I will show you what I did with the mini album tomorrow. :)
