CPS Cards

Happy Halloween everybody!  It seems weird to be posting Christmas cards on Halloween...but that is what I am about to do.  :)  I did the new sketch (88) over at CPS this morning.  I actually made two cards based off the sketch.  If you haven't been to the CPS site yet, you should check it out...what a great resource for getting all those Christmas cards done.  Anyways, here is what I did:

Supplies:
Cardstock--Bazzill, Paper--Imaginisce, Stamp--Hero Arts, Chipboard snowflake--Stampin' Up!, Gems--Hero Arts,
3D Paint--Scribbles, Glitter--Stickles from Tim Holtz, Pen--Sharpie.

I actually made this next card first, but I wasn't sure how much I liked it so I had to make another one.  :)  Here it is:

Supplies:
Cardstock--Stampin' Up!, Frame Die Cut--Making Memories (cut out middle), Christmas tree--Making Memories,
3D Paint--Scribbles, Glitter--Stampin' Up!, Gem--Hero Arts, Lace--unknown and thread--DMC.

A New Card

I made a cute card this afternoon.  :)  I stamped the background with a roller.  And adhered a big doily thingy to the card.  This was my inspiration piece.  I wanted to make the card around it.  Then I stamped and embossed a tree on top of the doily.   :)  That was fun.  The rest is just random things I added.  Here's the card:

Supplies:
Cardstock--Stampin' Up!, Stamps--Hero Arts (tree) and Stampin' Up! ("miss"), Roller--Glitz Designs, Butterfly--Maya Road, Sticker--Creative Imaginations, Ink and embossing powder--Stampin' Up!, Thread--Prism, Pen--Sharpie.

Swaps

So I haven't really done many swaps, but lately I have been participating in the swaps at The Coconut ScrapShop.  (You can find their swaps here.)  This first one is for a tag swap with a "Gratitude" theme.  Here is what I made:

I made ten, so there are several different variations of this one...but all pretty similar.

Supplies:
Tags (both paper tag and metal rimmed tag) and Magic Mesh from Stampin' Up!, Stickers from Basic Grey, Journaling Spots from Heidi Swapp, Chipboard Letters from K & Company, and paint from Making Memories (used paint on bubble wrap on the metal rimmed tags, color: Monarch).

And then, the second swap I just finished was the Winter Wonderland ATC swap.  I think there are still a couple openings in this swap.  But this one is my favorite...I really like how it turned out and I had a lot of fun trying all sorts of techniques with it.  Here's what it looks like:

I started off with some Shimmery White cardstock and randomly sprayed Glimmer Mist on it.  Then I stamped and embossed the snowflakes.  The branch is actually embossed with clear over a black pigment ink pad...simply because I liked the way it looked.  I then added red flocking to the berries on the branch.  I added patterned paper on top of the chipboard frame and sanded the edges.  The owl is stamped, embossed, colored and then cut out.  And then of course I added 3D paint because apparently that is my thing.  :)

And just like the other swap...I made 10, all slightly different but similar to this one.

Supplies:
Cardstock, Chipboard, and Embossing Powders--Stampin' Up!, Glimmer Mist--Tattered Angels, Stamps--Hero Arts, Patterned Paper--Imaginisce, Flocking--Doodlebug, and 3D Paint--Scribbles.

This stamp set, from Hero Arts, is quickly becoming my favorite stamp set.  I just love it!!!  :)  You may see many more projects with this stamp set.

A Couple Layouts

Yeah...got time today to play some with my October kit from Scarlet Lime. Don't know what I am going to do when Hayden stops taking naps, because right now I love it when Austin is at school and Hayden is taking a nap, and I get scrapbooking time. :) Well, here's what I did today:

I am thinking that I will make a third LO that is similar and then hang the three on the wall. :)

Scenic Route--Appleton

ScrapLovers sent me lots of goodies this month.  My first two reveals are from the Appleton Collection by Scenic Route.  I had a lot of fun with this collection.  And on the 20th you will see more of this collection in some fabulous mini albums.  Can't we to show you those.  :)  You can find the Appleton collection here.  For now, here are the LO's I did:

Another card

When I saw the CPS sketch for the week, I couldn't not do it...I had so many scraps sitting on my desk and this sketch was perfect for using scraps.  It's been awhile since I did a CPS sketch, so it was nice to do one again.  Here's the card I made:

Adding color to rub-on's

Maybe you are like me...I have SO many rub-on's! And about half of my collection are white rub-on's, which I hardly use anymore. So I tried something new: adding a little color to my white rub-on's with chalk.  All I did was take a q-tip and rub chalk over the rub-on's.

Here is the before:

And me coloring:

And this is my finished LO:

It's a very simple technique you can try sometime!  :)

Supplies:
Patterned Paper: Dream Street Papers, Memorybox
Rub-On's: Hambly, Making Memories, Daisyd's
Letters: American Crafts, Chipboard: GCD Studios
Other: White Souffle Pen, 3D Paint from Scribbles, and chalk from Stampin' Up!
