Hip Hop!!!

So, I got back from LA (for CHA) tonight. I got back home with enough time to spend 5 minutes with the kids before they were off to bed. But I really look forward to spending it time with them tomorrow. I promise to post lots of pics and more about CHA, but I was just so exhausted when I got home. I laid in bed, and I was watching the Bachelor :), and I almost forgot all about my Hip Hop post.

That's right...it's Thursday (well technically, right now it is Wednesday, it is supposed to go up at 11pm my time, and it is 11:09 right now!)...which means Hip Hop! You'll want to start the hop at the Unity Blog.

So I thought I would post a layout that I did for CHA. It uses some of the new Itty Bitty stamps from Unity and Bella Blvd.

I used new papers from Bella Blvd as well for this layout. :) Here are some close up's:

Helmar Bella Butterfly! :)

Hi everyone! I know you are waiting for me to announce the winners for my blog candy. I promise that will come soon (today). :) In the meantime, I have a project I thought I would share with you. Helmar has partnered with Bella Blvd and we are featuring projects all week on the Helmar blog using Bella Blvd. My post went up yesterday...I will share a bit of it here but for more details and techniques, check out the Helmar blog here.

This is the project I made. I took a wooden butterfly from Say It With Letters and altered it to create this:

A close up of the butterfly part:

Pretty much the whole things is put together using Helmar 450 Quick Dry Adhesive. Love this stuff! I also used a little bit of Helmar Liquid Scrap Dots to adhere the ribbon around those circles.

And here is one flower technique for you...and like I said, I posted more techniques on the Helmar blog so make sure you check that out too!

I started with a circle and cut it to make a swirl, like so:

Now I could have left it like this...but I didn't. :) I took a little adhesive (used the Helmar Quick Fix Adhesive Runner) and brought it all together like so:

Now once again, I could have left it like this...it's cute! But I didn't. :) I took the scissors and cut into the edge like so:

Then I rolled those pieces over and it looked like this:

Ok so that is a VERY bad pic! Sorry. But you can see it on my project above. On my project you will notice that I added a little glitter to it. I also added one Helmar Zapdot that I dipped in Pearl Ex powder in the center.

Ok, well I shall return! Until then, have a fantastic day!!!
