First, I thought I would share some butterfly home decor pieces that I created using The ScrapCake papers and wooden butterflies from Say It With Letters. I used the Cozy Xmas collection from The ScrapCake, even though you will see that it is definitely not a Christmas project. :)
Here are my butterflies:
These are actually a gift for someone. Shhh! I made them to go on the wall of my new niece's room! I hope they (my brother and his wife) like them. The idea is to hang them so they are flying up the wall. But you could also bunch them on a shelf, similar to the picture above. Each layer pops off too! You can see what I am talking about in this picture:
Here are the butterflies, one by one:
What do you think? Even though they are for a baby, I thought it would be cool to not really look too baby-ish so she can grow with them...they can stay up longer (if they want them to).
Have a wonderful day!

I love them, they are adorable!
I love your butterflies..the colors you used are great and I don't think limited for babies..they'd be great in a hallway, flying along...

Those are absolutely lovely! Not babyish at all!:)
So sweet! These will look great flying up a wall!
These are awesome and will be such a fun addition to your niece's room!
Love these!
Very very cute! Great idea to use this paper... and to have them less babyish. It's so disappointing when baby things last such a short amount of time. This is creative.
How fun are these?
LOVE those butterflies and the buttons are PERFECt touches! She will love having them in her room. You'll be her favorite aunt forever...you would be in my book ;)
Those are beautiful!!!
Oh, these are FABULOUS! I love how you mixed the pattern papers, and the button stitching! These would work anywhere! Love Penny Scrap-aholic@blogspot.com
If they won't have them, I will!!! Those are way too cute! :)
