Making a Stitched Grid :)

Hi everyone! Happy hump day (Wednesday)! :) My mom always called it that since it was the middle of the week and we were heading over the hump. Today I have a layout to share with you that uses the gorgeous The Bright Side of Life collection from The ScrapCake.

Before I started my layout I created a grid on my paper using a pencil and a ruler, like so:

Then I built my layout on top of the grid. When it was how I wanted it, I went back and added stitching on top of all the remaining lines of my hand-drawn grid, whatever was still showing. I think it looks pretty cool.
Here are some close up's of my layout:

I used chipboard from Magistical Memories on my layout. I used one of the Biplane pieces and one of the Window Tabs. The chipboard letters are from My Little Shoebox.
Well I've got a busy day, so I better get started. Hope you have enjoyed my post today! Thanks for stopping in. :)
Have a fabulous day!

Love it! Someone else on our Counterfeit Kit blog hop did some stamped stitching - same idea - and now you both have me wanting to get home and stitch on a page. Really great idea!

I love how clean your layout looks! I'm going to try stitching on a layout soon. I tried it once and I messed it all up. But you have me inspired to try again. Thanks for sharing!

This is such a good idea. I thought you stitched behind the photos, your way is so much easier.
