Keepin' It Real (Hip Hop)

This week for Hip Hop, we are sharing Christmas cards and layouts. And you know I am sharing a layout! :) And it has a photo on it that you might never scrap! But I am getting ahead of myself....You'll want to start the hop at the Unity Blog. If you came from Jennifer then you are in the right place. :)

SOOO....every year at Christmas we celebrate with my in-laws and then with my parents. They are very different experiences. One is chaotic and one big (fun) mess. One is organized...one person at a time, and we clean up after each opening of the present. :) Last year I decided to take a picture of the mess left in the first scenario. Why would I scrap the mess? Because I am keepin' it real! Seriously...it's part of the whole experience.

So here is my layout:

And just one close up so you can see the journaling:

I used the following stamp sets from Unity:

All my papers, stickers and trim are from Webster's Pages. I used the back sides, which I typically don't do as much...but I figured I have enough of their papers in my stash that it was ok. :)

And I, of course, used Helmar for all my adhering needs. I used the Helmar 450 Quick Dry Adhesive.

AND........

I do have another stamp set to give away today. :) All you need to do is leave a comment on this blog post and you could win this stamp set:

If you haven't seen the December Kit of the Month from Unity yet, click here. It is SO cute! I absolutely LOVE the hanging quilt!!!! I can't wait to get my hands on that one. :)

And now it's time to hop on to the lovely Robyn.

Next Blog

Hope you have a wonderful day!!!!

What a gorgeous layout ~ The big picture kind of looks like our floor after the kids have opened their presents! I love those papers, backside or not, the hanging ornaments and the gathered ribbon.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE that you documented this. I hate sharing pics of Christmas morning because it always looks like I'm the world's worst housekeeper! LOL. I am going to take a cue from you this year and embrace it and photograph the aftermath in all it's glory!!!! Christmas morning is such a magical time....every single part of it!

This is a great idea to scrap. I think I will take a picture of all the empty christmas "boxes" and containers everywhere waiting to be put back in the attic.

I love that layout. It brought back such great memories from when I was a kid and we were the messy style. Now we are the neat style and I forgot how fun the chaos can be!
