I recently was asked a question about my stitching on cards. I was asked how I did the inside of the card so the stitching didn't mess up the middle. Well, often I will try to hide the stitching under a layer on a card, but if I do it on the main card, then I add a lining on the inside. Here is a card I just finished:
Since I added stitching to the main portion of my card, I decided to add a lining on the inside. I cut a piece of paper that was slightly smaller than the card.
Then I just adhered it to the card on the inside. It makes for a sturdier card too when using patterned paper.
Since I used a busy piece of patterned paper, I added a little to the inside of the card to make a place to write my message.
It's not hard, and since I love adding stitching to my cards, it is worth it to me to do this extra step at the end. :)
Supplies: Papers by Dream Street Papers, chipboard by Maya Road, Pearls by Kaiser, "Hello" stamp by Stampendous, and thread by Prism.
