Just a Day.

Hi everyone! :) Today I want to share a shadowbox tray that I altered. Most of the time I see these, it seems people use perfect portraits and center them around family or I've seen them capture a vacation or a wedding. Instead, I challenge you to use the ordinary and everyday to fill a shadowbox tray (or printer tray, this one from 7Gypsies is specifically called a shadowbox tray). It doesn't have to be picture perfect. Mine simply captures a day where we went hiking.

The pictures aren't perfect, but it perfectly captures the kids, their personalities and the adventure we had that one day.

I used the Life of the Party collection from BasicGrey again. Yep, still lovin' it!

Here are some close up's:

The funny thing is...on this particular hike, my camera battery died. :( So I don't even have many pictures from it. The destination you reach at the top of the hike is simply gorgeous (we have gone many times though) and I wasn't able to capture it on film, but instead it made me focus on the hike part, and I was able to SEE that we had fun hiking...it wasn't just about the gorgeous destination or accomplishment, but the fun along the way. I think, that perhaps we should have that same outlook on life in general sometimes. :)

Well anyways....

Thanks for stopping in today!!!! Have an awesome weekend!

Love the additional dimension you added to this by adhering things to the wood divider pieces. Nice!

Such a fun project. Looks like a perfect day to me.
I haven't done one of these, or even really seen them complete.
Yours is lovely.
