Readers of Pamela's World of Scrap--meet Stampin' Sisters in Christ

Ok, I have mentioned them a couple times already, because I did a couple of their challenges. But there is this cool challenge site called Stampin' Sisters in Christ. First let me share with you what has been going on in my life lately. I have really been feeling a need to incorporate my faith more into what I do. And I want everything I do to be for the glory of God. But it's more than that even...I want to WORSHIP the Lord through my work. I also want to be able to pass that along to my children...in a form that they can have if I am not longer alive. I want to encourage others to do this too. So I had been feeling this way for a little while.

Now in walks this challenge site called "Stampin' Sisters in Christ." It seemed like God's timing for me...that I discovered this site after I had been feeling this way. So I was excited.

Now, I have been asked to be on the design team for this wonderful site. I am feeling very encouraged by the way things are progressing. This is going to help me get more done like what I have been talking about. But I also hope that many of you join me on this journey as well. :)

So, take a moment to check out this week's challenge.

"The Lord reigns, let the earth rejoice! let the distant shores be glad!"
Psalm 97:1

First of all, I gotta mention that I can't even count how many times in the past few weeks that I have heard "the Lord reigns!" I feel like it is being pressed on my heart. And all I got to say is YES HE DOES! And we are allowed to rejoice at that!

The challenge:
We wanna see the "earth rejoicing"!!! Show us flowers blooming, trees bearing fruit, mountains...etc. Or make a project using that verse on it (Psalm 97:1).

I can't wait to see what you do!!!

I made a card this week for this challenge (but I plan to do a lot more than just cards...scrapbooking, home decor, etc). Here's my card:

Have an AWESOME Sunday. And make sure you come back next Sunday to see what the next challenge will be! :)

THE LORD REIGNS!

Supplies:
Cardstock--Stampin' Up!, Papers--Jillibean Soup, Stamps--Unity Stamp Company (tree) and Stampin' Up! (letters for "rejoice" on background), Ink--Stampin' Up!, Overlay and Pearls--Little Yellow Bicycle, Ribbon--Michaels Stores, inc. Machine Stitching.

I love that this came along for you at just the right time. God has a plan for all of us--to use our crafts to Glorify Him! Looking forward to seeing more of your beautiful creations. And remember, you are ALWAYS welcome to make a scrap page, 3D items or paint the walls for our challenges...whatever sparks your creativity--we want to see it! :) Have a blessed Sunday and I'll be back during the week to see whatcha been up to!! Your post brought tears of joy to my eyes. That's exactly how I felt when Kris and Kathy and I started the challenge blog, and it just keeps getting better. The Lord is in this with us, and brought you to us for a reason! Rejoice indeed!

I love your card. I've just bought my first Unity stamps, so I'll be looking for inspiration. Plus, I've long neglected my scrapbooking. Visiting your blog is definitely turning my thoughts back to where I started papercrafting in the first place.

I'm so glad you're a part of our team!

Hugs,
Lisa

This is such a cool card, the design and layout and stamp choice are so neat! (I like the shape of your eyeglasses too, and I need a new pair, hmmm)

So glad to be able to get to know you better as a DT member for Stampin' Sisters in Christ, and looking forward to this new journey.

Great card Pamela! I'm so excited to check out the site! I hope to be able to join in some of the challenges too. It's always so amazing how easily God takes us in just the right direction at just the right time... if we let him! It always makes me happy to think about the amazingly creative God is and how creativity really is a gift and blessing from him!
