Why do you scrapbook?

The challenge over at Scrapbooks Etc is to make a layout about why you scrapbook. By doing the challenge, you have a chance to get published...so why not try. :) You can check it all out here on their challenge blog. The deadline is Nov. 9th. Here is the layout I made for the challenge:

That picture is printed on canvas. :) Here's a close up of the journaling:

The journaling reads:

"I grew up with a mother who just threw photos in piles in the corner. Nobody ever sees them. You cant find anything in particular. And for the most part we hardly remember anything about those we do see. There are no stories! This is part of the reason I started scrapbooking. I want to show off the photos. I want to record the stories! I want to just say no to the piles (and believe methey were much much bigger than the pile in this picture!). But I still love you mom!"

You never know...you make just get published by uploading your layout for the challenge...I encourage everyone to go for it. :)

Supplies:
Papers--Studio Calico, Pink Paislee, Crate Paper, and Cosmo Cricket, Canvas (photo printed on it)--Claudine Hellmuth (Ranger), Letter Stickers--Rose Moka, Die Cut--My Little Shoebox, Flower--Prima Marketing, Chipboard scissors--American Crafts, Computer Program--Microsoft Word, Computer Font--1942 report, Machine Stitching.
