{Jammed Packed with} Techniques Class (Day 4)

Well we have come to the last day of my technique class. If you have missed any of it, here are the links:

And today is day 4. (pg. 10 & 11 spread and page 12--back)

Today is the easiest of all days. :)

Page 10 and 11 Spread

1. Start with your painted chipboard page (white).
2. Cut various sized circles and adhere to both pages on the wings as if they were flowing across them. We are not looking for perfect circles...freehand is awesome. But if you must, you can always use some punches or a cutting system.

3. Using a white pen, outline the circles.

4. Using template 2 and 1 piece of 4 x 7.5 paper (RO739), cut a half heart shape. Flip the template and create another half heart. Adhere the two half heart shapes and outline in black. Don't forget to punch your holes. I swear we have done this before! :)

5. Assemble Cardstock Tag #5 and slide Cardstock Tag #6 inside. Adhere to page 9.

6. Adhere 1 piece of 3 x 4 paper (RP731) to page 10.

7. Cut chipboard swirl in half and adhere one half to page 9 and one half to page 10.

8. Add photos, journaling and any extra embellishments. This is what my original looked like:

And we have made it to the last page....

Page 12 (back)

1. Adhere 5 strips of lace to wing from the Pirate Princess trims (the sizes of strips will vary as each one gets longer then the last).

2. Using template 1 and 1 piece of 4 x 7.5 of paper (RP 731) cut a half heart shape, and outline it with black pen. Don't forget to also punch your holes. ***You may be tired of hearing me tell you this, but I was constantly forgetting to do this and I made it harder on myself. ;)

3. Adhere 1 piece of 2.5 x 3 paper (RP732).

4. Layer a chipboard crown (sprayed with glimmer mist) over photo spot.

5. Add anything else. :) Here is what my original looked like:

And here is another sample where I did the journaling in between the lace. :)

Well that's it. I showed you a lot of techniques, and hopefully some new things you can try, in the past 4 days. Ask whatever questions you have no matter how far it is after this posting. I will answer! And please share with me any projects you make based off this class! :)

Have an awesome Friday! Enjoy your weekend. I will be back tomorrow with a very fun layout.

{Jammed Packed with} Techniques Class (Day 3)

Hello again. We have come to day three of my technique class. Hope you have enjoyed what I have posted so far and if you try any of this, I can't wait to see it! :)

Page 6 and 7 Spread

1. Using the Pirate Princess Coupons Page and Pirate Princess stickers (or you can use an assortment of stickers, die cuts, etc to create this look) randomly layer the coupons and stickers over the wings, overlapping them and letting them hang off the pages.

2. Trim the excess stickers and coupons. I turn my page over and carefully use a craft knife to do this.

3. Using template 2 and 1 piece of 4 x 7.5 paper (RP737), cut a half heart shape. Flip template 2 and cut another (mirrored) half heart out of another sheet of 4 x 7.5 paper (RP737). Adhere the two half heart shapes and outline in black. And don't forget to punch your holes. :)

4. Cut Cardstock tag #3 in half and adhere both sides to page 5. Use these as a place for 2 photos.

5. Adhere Cardstock Tage #4 and Skull and Bone chipboard piece (sprayed with glimmer mist) to page 6.

6. Add photos, journaling and any additional embellishments. Here is how my original looked, my pieces did vary some:

And we are moving on.....

Page 8 and 9 Spread

Once again, I am reminding you that we already painted our pages white, if you haven't done that you will need to do that as your first step. :)

1. Place Chipboard pieces (swirls and hearts used here, of course, you can choose what you want) on the wings and spray glimmer mist over the wings. Don't worry about getting it completely even or perfect. And a little bit of glimmer mist goes a lot further then you think it will. :) Then remove the chipboard pieces, leaving the masked effect.

2. Using template 2 and 1 piece of 4 x 7.5 piece of paper (RP735), cut a half heart shape. Flip the template and cut another, mirrored, half heart. Adhere the 2 half heart shapes and outline in black.

3. Adhere Cardstock Coupon #2 to page 7.

4. Adhere 1 piece of 3 x 3.5 paper (RP 733) to page 8.

5. Adhere 3 chipboard hearts.

6. Add photos, journaling and any additional embellishments. Here is what my original looked like, again, it is a little different:

Well there you have it for today. I will be back tomorrow with the final day of the class. If you have any questions, just post them here and I will try my best to answer them! :)

Have a fantastic Thursday!!!

{Jammed Packed with} Techniques Class (Day 2)

Ok...on to day 2 of the technique class I started yesterday. :) If you missed day 1, just scroll down to the previous post. We will start on the next spread (pages 2 and 3 of the album). This one is pretty simple.
Remember, we already painted it white.
Page 2 and 3 Spread

(remember, you can click on any of these images to view them bigger)
1. Cut 10 pieces of trim/fabric/ribbon/lace approximately 9" long. Fold each piece and add to the wing part of the album with the edges of the trim on the heart part.

2. Using template 2 and 1 piece of 4 x 7.5 patterned paper, cut a half heart shape.

3. Flip template 2 and cut another (mirrored) half heart out of 1 piece of 4 x 7.5 paper.
4. Adhere the 2 half heart shapes.

5. Outline the edges of the heart and punch your holes.

6. Adhere cardstock tag # 1 to page 2 (of the album, page 1 of the spread). Then adhere cardstock coupon #1 to page 2 overlapping tag #1. Leave a little of the coupon hanging off and then cut that part off to adhere to page 3.

7. Adhere the remaining part of coupon #1 to page 3. Then adhere 1 piece of 3 x 3.5 paper (RP731) to page 3.

8. Spray swirl chipboard with pink glimmer mist. Then cut swirl in half and adhere on half to page 2 and the other half to page 3.

9. Add photos and any additional embellishments. Oh and make sure that before you move on you punch your holes again for any that you covered up. :) Here is what my original album looked like:

Ok...moving on. :) (If you watch Greek, imagine me with a clipboard ).

Page 4 and 5 Spread

Once again, our page is already painted white.

1. Using the pink Candy Land Alphabet Stickers (or letter stickers of your choice) randomly add letters on the wings. If you want throw in a couple words that you can spell as if it were a word game. It's also ok to let some of the letters hang off.

2. Trim off any letters hanging over the edge.

3. Paint over all the letters with white paint. You many want to do more then one layer of paint, that is up to you.

4. Using template 2 and 1 piece of 4 x 7.5 paper cut a half heart shape. Flip the template and out of another piece of 4 x 7.5 paper cut another half heart that mirrors the other one. Adhere the shapes to the chipboard and outline in black. Don't forget to punch the holes.

5. Add 1 piece 3.5 x 2.5 paper (RP736) to page 4 and 1 piece 3.5 x 2.5 paper (RP 736) to page 5.

6. Adhere cardstock tag #2 so some of it is on page 4 and some of it is on page 5 (with cut in between). Make sure you remember to punch your hole again if you cover it up.

7. Spray swirl chipboard with pink glimmer mist. Then cut swirl in two and adhere one part to page 4 and the other part to page 5.

8. Add photos, journaling and any additional embellishments. Here is what my original looked like, I had used a different piece of chipboard:

Well that's all for today. Come back for more of the class tomorrow!!! :)

Have a fantastic Wednesday!
