CHA week post 1

Hi everyone!  So this week is CHA and many companies and crafters are gathered in Las Vegas to display all the new collections companies are releasing.  In the past I have gone to a few of these events.  But I am not there this year.  But in the spirit of CHA, I am posting everyday this week with projects using new collections for companies I design for.

Today I will post a layout using a new collection from Ruby Rock-It.  The rest of the week will be focused on new collections from Fancy Pants Designs.  :)

So up first...

Today's layout uses one of the new wedding collections called At Last from Ruby Rock-It.  I just love the colors in this collection!  We have monthly themes on the Ruby Rock-It blog and I must admit, when I heard that the theme this month was love/wedding, I didn't look forward to this one.  I don't have any recent wedding photos and I didn't know how to make a layout about love (romantic love) when I was having a hard time seeing love anywhere around me.  Sorry to be a bummer...just keeping it real.  But it was really good for me!  It helped me think about the examples of love I have seen in my life and I focused on one really good example of love...my grandparents.  So today's love layout is about my grandparents.

Here's my layout:

I did pair the new At Last collection with one piece from an older collection, Kinda Krafty.

Here are some close up's of my layout:

And there you have it...my somewhat bitter but very real layout about love using the new At Last collection from Ruby Rock-It.

Thanks for stopping by today!  Come back tomorrow for a layout using a new collection from Fancy Pants.  :)

Have a fantastic day!!!

Pamela, I love this layout. The sewn banners are creatively genius. I would love to do this. You did a beautiful job honoring your grandparents. Funny thing I just posted an altered piece of my great-great grandparents wedding day. We must all be reminiscing.

Lovely page and precious photo and I love the journaling. Although you expressed your feelings it did end on a positive note. My grandparents had the same kind of love - that I finally found.

I love it. Your bitterness, as you call it, only lift your granparents love even higher. Lovely!
