My boys have done nothing but fight lately...like 24/7! They are no longer friends. They are mortal enemies. It's driving me a bit crazy. And I had so looked forward to summer break and the extra time with the kids. Now, I'm a bit scared. I so want them to be friends...best friends. I don't remember ever fighting this much with my siblings. Sure, we fought, but we had moments of fighting and moments of friendship. I don't know if it's a boy thing, or perhaps it is this way for every sibling and I am just remembering it better then it really was.
Even when I try to get them together to take a picture, one of them is always pushing the other away. And forget a hug! What an impossible request mom! :) BUT...I did manage to get some decent pictures the other day. So I just had to get them on a layout.
Crate Paper has a FANTASTIC sketch up on their blog right now!
I seriously love it. I found it so inspiring. Go check it out! There's still time to play along.
Here's the layout I made using it....
I didn't stray from the sketch too much...simply because I loved the sketch. And I finally got to play with the Toy Box collection from Crate Paper! I was so excited about it and I just hadn't had time yet to sit down and use it. But I knew I wanted to pull it out for this sketch. :)
Here's some close up's of my layout...
I used adhesive from Helmar to put it all together. I used the 450 Quick Dry adhesive and then some Zapdots to help pop up some of my elements. I often forget to mention my adhesive when I am making my blog posts, just know that I always use Helmar. They are simply the best. :)
And there you have it.
And my son has officially graduated from Kindergarten.
That happened last night. Wow. Time flies. I can't believe he is going into first grade! This next year is going to be a change for us. Eryn and I will be by ourselves a lot more since Hayden will be in school the full day. At least Eryn's not in school. I'm not ready for that yet.
Have a wonderful day everyone! And as always, thanks for stopping by! :)

Great LO Pam! I love it! And my girls are fighting constantly too, so maybe it's a sibling thing and not necessarily a boy thing. :(
Love the layout! Super cute!
Wonderful take on the sketch. It is a fun one and so is your layout. My kidlets were 9 years apart and still fought. Eventually they got over it. Good luck!
I have five boys....I can so relate to your photo issues.....lol. And I always take a group photo at Christmas time to include in the4 cards....fiasco....lol. Ilove your LO....especially your title work, the messy stamping is too cool and just perfect!!!
I LOVE your layout...it is fantastic!
I, too, love crate, but wasn't mad about their toybox line (shhh)...you have changed that...will be going out to get some. Great work, Pamela!

Aww, what nice graduation pictures. What a handsome young man!
You did a fabulous job wth the sketch, love the scattered stitching and the embellies are perfect for your page!
Lovely Pamela! Well they certainly LOOK like they are best buddies in that photo LOL!! I punish mine when they fight so they have no choice but to be friends :)
I love your layout! Such a great take on the sketch.
Your layout is great?, next thing you know it will be high school graduation.
My sister and I fought a lot. We were 8 years apart, though, so I think that contributed. Your layout is fantastic! The photos really are great!
Cool page and your kid is adorable!!
Love this Crate paper line!
Have a nice day!

LOOOOOOVE this LO!! I love the boyish theme--and the GI Joes...so sorry your kids are fighting--I remember being young and fighting with my brothers. One day the fighting will stop:) **Note:: for my brothers and I...it took about 20 years! LOL!
TFS!!!
wonderfully cute!!!
My sister and I fought constantly growing up and now we are best friends. I wouldn't give up hope. :)
great layout Pam. gotta tell ya' - my 2 boys are the best of friends (at 19 & 18) - but there was one summer i thought i'd go nuts. they fought with each other all the time. and then it was over. like a phase.
but i didn't give up stressing their friendship, brotherhood, and how lucky they are to have each other through it all.
soooo - keep doing what you're doing - ! and keep expecting them to be best friends and it'll happen i'm sure.
Awww....my boys are close in age 17 and 16 and have done and continue to argue a lot...but i think if it really came down to it they would be there for each other..ya know the whole family thang..heehee...i love this paper line and had the chance to use it recently! Great take on this sketch and sweet photos! Love the paint stamped title...:)
