Scrap and Stamp Saturday

Haha...is it Saturday? Seriously, this was one of the busiest weekends ever! Totally missed getting this up!

The challenge at Scrap and Stamp this week is to create a summer layout using stamping. You could always just use summer colors too. But don't forget the stamping, as that is the whole point! :)

Here's what I did for the challenge:

And here are some close up's:

I added stamping to the rays. :)

That tree is a stamp from Prima that I painted and stamped.

And I thought I'd share a tip for those of you who don't know...

If your stamp is too big for the section you want to stamp it in, you can mask off the section so the stamp doesn't go where you don't want it to.

I also have a pile of post-it's on hand in my scrap room. See how I used them to mask off the section.

Then stamped my images without worry of getting it on the orange section.

Hope you had a fantastic NSD weekend! Hope you got a lot of scrapping done too! :)

Supplies:
Papers--Studio Calico, My Mind's Eye and My Little Shoebox, Stamps--Unity Stamp Company, Prima Marketing and Pink Paislee, Ink--Stampin' Up!, Paint--Making Memories, Letter Stickers--Sassafras, Flower--Prima Marketing, Thread--DMC.

This is such a fun page. I really love how you underlined the title with scalloped strips and stitching. An idea to *borrow* I think!
