Scrapbook Challenges

Sorry I haven't been around as much. :) I've been spending time with the fam. I also have been working hard on Scrapbook Challenges. I narrowed down the new DT...thank you so much to everyone who tried for it! I wish I could have picked everyone, really...I hate feeling like I have let people down. But I also am very excited for the team we have lined up for the new term! PLUS we have so many FABULOUS things in store! I am truly excited! So, if you are not a member of Scrapbook Challenges...now is the time people! :)

And don't miss out on this:

Top Ten of 2009

I've spent some time looking over the layouts I've made for the past year and I wanted to post my top ten layouts here.  These are my favorites for the year:

There you have it.  :)

Sketch 178

Hello everyone! I hope you had an awesome Christmas! I got my computer back! It's got a new hard drive. I have to spend time loading programs and bookmarking sites today. There's nothing on my computer right now, but I am just happy to have it. I also have to take time to look through what was saved to our external hard drive to see what I am missing.

Anyways, of course, it is Monday, which means sketch. :) So here's the new sketch for you:

And here are some samples from the wonderful SC gals...

If you do the sketch, leave a link here, or to be entered into the monthly drawing, post in the Scrapbook Challenges gallery.

Merry Christmas!!!

Christmas Glitter Graphics

This is my last post before Christmas...which is tomorrow, can you believe it? I wanted to take time to wish you all Merry Christmas! I am so thankful for each and every one of you. I can't even tell you how happy it makes me when I see that someone has commented on my work. :)

Of course, right after spending all that money on Christmas, we not only got an unexpected bill (tax related!) but my computer died. I am writing this on Wednesday on a computer that is not mine and we are getting ready to take mine in to the genius bar...I truly hope that they are in fact genius and can get it to work again. We can't afford a new one, and even to have them extract content from the hard drive (like all my photos and my work on the book!) would cost like $1200. Why does this stuff always happen when you have no money. So hope and pray with me that my Christmas gift this year is to NOT have to buy a new computer, to have all my work still there in my old and workable computer.

I have one last layout to share with you before Christmas day.

MERRY CHRISTMAS!

My Little Shoebox Layouts

Ok, thought I'd pop in here and share my December work for My Little Shoebox. I know everybody is very busy this time of year. So I will make it quick. :) This month I got to work with the "Little Ladies" line from My Little Shoebox. I absolutely LOVE it! Here's what I made:

And just in case you can't see it on the layout, I thought I would also post the picture so you could see that I captured the spit coming out of Eryn's mouth! :)

Click on any of them to view them larger. My Little Shoebox is busy busy getting all the new lines ready for CHA in Jan. Sneak peeks start on Jan. 1st! :) So stay tuned for that.

Have a fabulous Wednesday everyone. Christmas is almost here! Maybe you are even already in the midst of the celebrations. :) Enjoy!

SSCC #18

Since it is Christmas week, the challenge over at SSCC is really easy. ;) It's a sketch.

Here's the sketch:

And here is the card I made:

I hope you can join us this week! :) And I really hope you all have a great Christmas week!!! It's almost here! I really want to take some extra time this week to reflect on everything the Lord has done for me...He is SO good! The Christmas story is a story of a miracle...but it is so much more than that. So many times it just goes in one ear and out the other...we've heard it all before. But it's not so simple and I hope we never forget that.

10 Photos on 1 page! :)

The challenge is up at Scrap and Stamp...and it will be up for two weeks instead of one. The challenge is simple, make a Christmas layout with stamping. The sponsor this time is "Making Handmade Cards." We each got the "Funky Christmas" ekit to play with, and even though they are intended for cards, they are easily used on layouts too. :) I used 5 images from the kit on my layout.

Here's my layout:

And it has 10 photos on it! :) I made the collage of photos in photoshop, then I made a clipping mask for the borders. It is actually something that is really easy to do.

Well I hope you play along with us this week, we desperately need people to do the challenges. :) And you have two weeks to do it! So I hope I see several of you playing along.

Have a FANTASTIC weekend everyone!!!

Christmas Trees Galore

So not only do we have two Christmas trees in our house this year, but I have several other trees scattered around the house. :) I love it! There's no denying what time of year it is at our house. Here are three that I made. I've seen several different kinds of these Christmas trees done over the years...you know the kind, where you start off with a Styrofoam cone. Until this year, I had never done one! Even though they were and have been all over the internet. I tried to be a little creative with mine...trying some new stuff. Here are the individual trees:

This one I made some pleats...one of my favorite things to do and put them around the tree. And then I added another favorite: lace. :)

For this tree I just punched circles of patterned paper and arranged on my tree. I wanted it to be a different height, so it was in between the size of the other two so I added a bit of styrofoam (sprayed with glimmer mist) on the bottom.

And then this one I took a bunch of Prima flowers and sprayed with glimmer mist in the colors I wanted. I then covered the tree with the little flowers. :) I love it.

Well if you have never tried one of these before, I encourage you to do so, they are fun and they make for really cute Christmas decorations. :)

Have an AWESOME Friday!

Scraps on a tree

I meant to post this yesterday, but Wednesdays always get so busy for us. Anyways, here's a great idea for using scraps. I took some leftovers from my scrapmuse kit and put them on a wooden tree. You wouldn't need the wooden tree though, you could do the same thing on a piece of cardstock. :) Here's how mine looks:

That tree is from Say It With Letters. I covered it with Glimmer Mist before adding anything to it...yes, in red, not green! :) It was actually a pretty simple project.

I have some more fun Christmas Trees to show you tomorrow. :)

Have a Fabulous Thursday! Today is my son's last school day for 2009!

Scrapmuse

Scrapmuse is a fabulous monthly kit and I was honored to be asked to guest design for them this month. You can view the December kit here. Here are some layouts that I made with the kit:

I have another project I did with the kit, and I will share it with you tomorrow. Do go check out their site, and I believe there are still some December kits available! :)

Our family seems to be healthy again. Austin is back at school. I am hoping to get a lot done today as far as cleaning and laundry...but maybe I will also relax a little. :)

Have an awesome Tuesday!
