Scrap and Stamp Saturday

Hi all! The challenge is up at Scrap and Stamp. This week the challenge is to make a layout that uses a black and white photo (or sepia works too). And of course, it needs to include stamping on it. :) Here's the layout that I made:

Those stamps are from Unity Stamp Company. :) And all the papers are from American Crafts. Here are some close up's:

Hope you play along with us this week!!! :)

And stay tuned, because all next week I will be showing you projects I have done with new CHA releases! :)

And speaking of CHA, there is still room in the MLS class that will be there! So if you are going to CHA, go sign up for the MLS class here!

Happy Saturday!!!

I {heart} stamping

Hi everyone!!! Thought I would post another layout from the "to be posted on the blog" pile. :) And it's my friend Tracey's favorite layout. :) It was in June's ScrapStreet magazine.

That big butterfly is a stamp from Tattered Angels. I stamped it twice on white cardstock. One of them was for another project. Then I cut them out. Afterwards, I was looking at that white piece of cardstock and thought it looked so cool with the butterflies cut out of it...so I used it! :) I put patterned paper behind them. I even did my journaling around one of them. I do like how it turned out...another idea you can do with your scraps/leftovers! :) Here are some close up's:

And don't forget about ScrapStreet's current calls! I hope you submit! :)

Have a wonderful Friday!

Christmas in July?

I know...I know....well at least I got the month right this time. :) This is one of those projects that has been done for a while and was in the "to be posted on the blog" pile. :) I made it for a faith call that CK had. It didn't get picked up, but that's ok, I am very happy that I made it. And it's another 2 pager! Here it is...

And here are some close up's...

It's one of those layouts that I am just happy about the way it turned out...exactly like I had envisioned it. :) Don't get me wrong, I love many things that turned out completely different then what I was picturing in my head, but there is something nice about when it just all comes together just as you thought it would.

Maybe I should I have a Christmas in July week...I've got a few more of them. :)

And one last thing....make sure you check out ScrapScene today!!! ;)

Tattered Angels :)

I haven't had a chance yet to post my Tattered Angels projects for this month. I made two canvases this month.

Here is the first canvas project. I was working on a project the other day and my first attempt did not work out as I wanted it to. So I started a new project and set this one aside. Then I came back to my "messed up" canvas and used it anyways! Art is all about the imperfections anyways! :) Here it is:

I used Glimmer Mist, Glimmer Glaze, Glimmer Chips, Ir-resist-ible Chips, Glimmer Glass, and Framed Fonts. I used the cowboy Glimmer Glaze all around the edge and on the letters. I just brushed it on after I did everything else. I used the Mellow Yellow on the inside parts of the Glimmer Chip butterfly. Here are some close up's:

And then here is a canvas I made for my sister, who just got married in Jamaica...

I used Glimmer Mist, Glimmer Screens, Glimmer Glass, Glimmer Chips, and Calling Cards. :) Here's a close up:

I thought I would show you the edge too, because I took one of my favorite colors of Glimmer Mist (Frozen Lake) and just sprayed the edges of the canvas with it.

And here is a quick page I made. I made this layout of my Sister-in-law and her groom, who also just got marrried in June. (My June was busy)...

I used a bunch of Tattered Angels yumminess on this layout, including Glimmer Mist, Glimmer Screens, Calling Cards, and Stamps. Here are some close up's:

It's hard to see in the photo but I sprayed Pearl Glimmer Mist on the white flowers to give them a bit of shine. :)

And finally, here's something you won't want to miss...happening tonight! :)

Hope you check it out. For more details visit the
Tattered Angels website.

Have an awesome Wednesday!!! :)

Helmar and Lily Bee

Yuck...that is how we've been lately. First, Eryn was sick, then hubby was sick, and boy did it ever hit me last night...yuck. But I wanted to hop on here and post because frankly, the things I need to post are totally piling up. :)

Here's a layout that I made for the Helmar blog. Last week Helmar was patnering with Lily Bee Design, so I got to use some of their beautiful papers too. And their rub-on's are fantastic!!! Anyways, here's that layout:

I adhered everything to the layout using Helmar 450 Quick Dry Adhesive except the fabric swirl, which I adhered with Helmar Liquid Scrap Dots to make it pop off the page a little bit. The papers and rub-on's are from Lily Bee Design.
Here are some other Helmar preferred partners that I used on this layout:
  • Buzz and Bloom--The fabric piece (LOVE this!!!) and the chipboard hearts are from them!
  • MyStampBOX--The eggs are a stamp from them.
  • Tattered Angels--I sprayed Glimmer Mist on the chipboard hearts. :)
Here are some close up's of my layout:

And I wanted to pass along some info...

Scrap and Stamp Saturday

Hi everyone! I had a long night...my little one was sick all day yesterday...she had a rough day. I expected her to sleep well at night because of it. But I was wrong. She woke up about 1 and wouldn't go back to sleep until about 3am! So of course, I was up too. I am tired this morning...moving slow. I do think she is feeling better though, she seems to be fine this morning and unaffected by the amount of sleep she got.

Well the challenge over at Scrap and Stamp is up! The challenge this week is a sketch challenge. The sketch comes from Paola and looks like this:

Isn't it a fun sketch. So for the Scrap and Stamp challenge this week you need to use this sketch and, of course, include stamping on your layout. :) Here's what I did for the challenge:

And here are some close up's:

All the stamps are from Unity. :)

I used a doily as a mask and sprayed Glimmer Mist over it for my background. After I was done, I crumpled up the doily to look like a flower and added it to my page. :)

Well I hope you have an awesome weekend!!!
