He feels the pain.

Today I am sharing something with you that I made for a friend who is going through a rough time right now. We seem to be surrounded by situations that just break your heart. Life can be so hard sometimes. But life can also be really good, we shouldn't forget that. Anyways, here's what I made:

I tried to be "artsy" with this. :) The words are from a song, they come from "Unglued" by Tait. I love that song. It's hard to know what to say to someone who is hurting, but I think these words do a pretty good job.

Here are some close up's:

That last line especially just gets me. He (God) feels the pain inside. He FEELS our pain too! Have you ever thought about that?

Ok, well I hope you have an amazing day! And if YOU are going through a rough time right now, hang in there!

Fancy some Fancy Pants?

I have a few layouts to share with you using the fabulous products from Fancy Pants. :)

This first layout uses the oh-so-cute It's The Little Things line. I just ADORE this line...it is hands down my favorite so far from Fancy Pants.

It uses another favorite of mine among the new Fancy Pants products...the awesome filters! They are so fun. I used them in the next layout too. I sprayed a little glimmer mist on them. Here are some close up's:

Those acrylic cuts were adhered with the fabulous V2 Vellum Adhesive spray from Helmar Adhesives! That stuff rocks too. :)

And then here is a fun layout I did for the FP blog...it was done for one of our Pocket Chick Pick features where I chose a layout from Heather Robertson to lift. You can see that post here. Here is my layout:

It also uses the It's The Little Things line and the filters. Here are some close up's:

And this cool look was done with Helmar Adhesive's Crackle product:

It's very easy to do. Then I sprayed a little glimmer mist on it and wiped it off so highlight the cracks more.

And then there is one more I wanted to share with you, but I will just sneak it for now. ;)

This layout showcases the fun Glitter Cuts from Fancy Pants (from their To The Moon line). To see the whole layout, check out this Fancy Pants blog post.

Have a wonderful day everyone!!!

Getting Messy with Tattered Angels

The Tattered Angels design team has been showcasing Halloween projects on the blog this month. Today was my day to post. :) Here's what I came up with...

I dug back a few years for these pictures. Oh how things have changed since then. I used the Halloween Hauntings Glimmer Screens and Glimmer Mist on the background. Then I also used the Vintage Season Halloween Haunting stamp set, a Glimmer Glass owl and more Glimmer Mist on the rest of the page. I even rubbed Slate Glimmer Mist all along the edge of the whole layout.

I adhered everything with Helmar Adhesives. I used Helmar 450 Quick Dry Adhesive for the bulk of my adhering. But I did use the V2 Vellum adhesive spray on the acrylic pieces as well as for adhering that punched fence. The V2 is marvelous for adhering die cuts and punched images like that!

Here are some close up's:

And then here are a couple cards I made, basically using the same supplies:

And finally...in case you haven't heard yet...Tattered Angels is having a DT call!!! I am actually not going to continue on with Tattered Angels. I am looking forward to doing some new stuff. BUT it has been a fabulous company to DT for and I hope you all give it a go. Here's the info:

How can you resist? :)

Tattered Angels has so many new fun resist products out there, but for those of us without them, there are still many ways to do the resist technique. :) Here are three projects I made for the Tattered Angels blog. To see close up's and more details, view the blog post here.

On this layout I used a resist technique on my chipboard flower. I first dry embossed it. Then I embossed the raised up parts with clear embossing powder. Then I sprayed my Glimmer Mist and wiped off the parts on the embossed sections.

On this layout I used paint as my resist medium. I stamped in paint and then sprayed Glimmer Mist over my background. When I wiped, the Glimmer Mist came off the paint. :)

And finally, the butterfly on this card was stamped and then embossed. Then, once again, I sprayed Glimmer Mist over the card and wiped it off the embossed section.

We will be sharing more resist projects on the Tattered Angels blog this month, so check back often to see new things! :)

Hope you have a fantastic day!

Tattered Angels :)

I haven't had a chance yet to post my Tattered Angels projects for this month. I made two canvases this month.

Here is the first canvas project. I was working on a project the other day and my first attempt did not work out as I wanted it to. So I started a new project and set this one aside. Then I came back to my "messed up" canvas and used it anyways! Art is all about the imperfections anyways! :) Here it is:

I used Glimmer Mist, Glimmer Glaze, Glimmer Chips, Ir-resist-ible Chips, Glimmer Glass, and Framed Fonts. I used the cowboy Glimmer Glaze all around the edge and on the letters. I just brushed it on after I did everything else. I used the Mellow Yellow on the inside parts of the Glimmer Chip butterfly. Here are some close up's:

And then here is a canvas I made for my sister, who just got married in Jamaica...

I used Glimmer Mist, Glimmer Screens, Glimmer Glass, Glimmer Chips, and Calling Cards. :) Here's a close up:

I thought I would show you the edge too, because I took one of my favorite colors of Glimmer Mist (Frozen Lake) and just sprayed the edges of the canvas with it.

And here is a quick page I made. I made this layout of my Sister-in-law and her groom, who also just got marrried in June. (My June was busy)...

I used a bunch of Tattered Angels yumminess on this layout, including Glimmer Mist, Glimmer Screens, Calling Cards, and Stamps. Here are some close up's:

It's hard to see in the photo but I sprayed Pearl Glimmer Mist on the white flowers to give them a bit of shine. :)

And finally, here's something you won't want to miss...happening tonight! :)

Hope you check it out. For more details visit the
Tattered Angels website.

Have an awesome Wednesday!!! :)

Scrap and Stamp Saturday

Hi everyone! I had a long night...my little one was sick all day yesterday...she had a rough day. I expected her to sleep well at night because of it. But I was wrong. She woke up about 1 and wouldn't go back to sleep until about 3am! So of course, I was up too. I am tired this morning...moving slow. I do think she is feeling better though, she seems to be fine this morning and unaffected by the amount of sleep she got.

Well the challenge over at Scrap and Stamp is up! The challenge this week is a sketch challenge. The sketch comes from Paola and looks like this:

Isn't it a fun sketch. So for the Scrap and Stamp challenge this week you need to use this sketch and, of course, include stamping on your layout. :) Here's what I did for the challenge:

And here are some close up's:

All the stamps are from Unity. :)

I used a doily as a mask and sprayed Glimmer Mist over it for my background. After I was done, I crumpled up the doily to look like a flower and added it to my page. :)

Well I hope you have an awesome weekend!!!

Having a hard time...

getting back into the swing of things. I am used to creating everyday. Then I go on vacation, and I keep thinking "well I just got back, it's ok that I haven't done anything yet" but it's already Thursday!!! Now I have a few projects I have to get done TODAY. I also haven't been online much. Just enjoying life I guess, but I really need to get back into the swing of things. Must figure out how. :)

So, I guess I will share a layout with you that I made awhile back for a call. Didn't get picked up, but now I get to share it with you! :) Oh wait...first, let me start with a public declaration of love. :)

I love this man...

(yep, that is from our vacation...first pic I am sharing...I swear I will post more soon)

(and yep...he is taking a picture of himself in the mirror...ha. Also from our vacation, you can see our messy room.)

We have been married for ten years today! :) This man makes me so happy.

I love you Kelby.

Now on to the layout. :)

I used a leftover chipboard piece from a sheet of chipboard from Rusty Pickle, and I placed it over my cardstock and sprayed glimmer mist. Then I stitched around the shapes. It's kind of a funky background, but I love it! Here are some close up's:

Moving on. :) Guess what I got in the mail yesterday! A *top secret* box from My Little Shoebox. And there is some awesome awesome stuff in there!!! I can't share any of it yet, but here are two sneaks that were on the MLS blog...but trust me, there is a lot more that I can't wait to show you...

And finally, the new issue of ScrapStreet is up...

Check the whole thing out here. And here is a link to my article in it. :) There are many awesome pages and projects in this issue...I do hope you check it out!
