3 Different Cards, 3 Different Challenge Sites

Don't you love challenge sites? I sure do. And there are some fabulous ones out there these days! I have 3 cards to share with you today. All of my cards use Unity stamps and glimmer mist. Thought I'd show you how fun it is to use your glimmer mist on your cards! :)

Card #1: CPS 134

I am no stranger to CPS...I've done a lot of their card sketches. Here's my card for their sketch 134:

I stamped and cut out that scalloped circle image and then used it as a mask for my background. :)

Card #2: 2S4Y: Laura's Sketch 35

The 2 Sketches 4 You site is new to me, I have never participated in one of their challenges before. They also do card sketches. Here's my card for their sketch this week:

This card leaves me singing..."Oh Happy Day..." Those papers are from Jillibean Soup.

And then,

Card #3: SSCC 5

This is another new site for me...Stampin' Sisters in Christ. Their challenge this week was to make a card using the colors of fall (you can determine what the colors of fall are to you). This is the card I made:

There are many fun things you can do with glimmer mist! In this last card I created the background using a glimmer screen and several colors of glimmer mist. I stamped those images and then colored them with pretty bright colors. I dirtied them up by spraying glimmer mist on them, also allowing them to warp for a more vintage look.

CPS 133 (and one more card)

Good morning to everyone! I have some cards to share with you today. Both my cards use My Little Shoebox papers, overlays and die cuts and then my Hero Arts stamps. This first card is for this week's CPS sketch, CPS 133:

It's earlier than I usually take my pictures and the sun is just rising, so the pics look different than my usual pics. But I have a lot to do today, as soon as I drop my son off at school we are off to do other things, so I wanted to get this posted before we left. Anyways, and here is one other quick card I made...

My hubby says he will watch the kids tonight and let me scrap..we'll see, he also said he would give me a 3o minute massage.... :) Not sure if you have a man like I do, but mine tends to say a lot of things that never really happen, but I am sure hoping for both tonight! :)

CPS 131

It's been a while since I've done a CPS sketch. So I hopped on over to the blog and it never fails...I found it inspiring. :) But my card kinda took on a life of it's own. Let me explain...

This is the sketch for the week, sketch 131:

Now I took one look at this and saw grass. I know I'm weird, but I flipped it like so...

and doesn't it look like a patch of grass at the bottom. :) LOL...ok well it does to me.

So this is the card I made...

And afterwards I thought I probably could have just left the sketch as is and people would have thought I put a sun on my card for the sunburst thing on the sketch. LOL..oh well.

Here is a card I made for the latest CPS sketch, CPS 119.  

I stamped a frame and then cut out the inside of it.  Placed it on the front of the card and cut out the card too, so what you see through the frame is actually on the inside of the card.  The leftover piece of stamped image that I cut out of the frame I then took and punched some tiny butterflies in it.  I used stamps from the "Love, Etc" set and the "Fresh Beginnings" set (both previous kit of the months).

CPS 115

Got home last night and boy do I have a TON of stuff to do.  I hate unpacking, and all the laundry that you need to do after trips.  But it is good to be back.  I do have a question for you at the end of this post so make sure you read it and answer.  :)  I did manage to sit for about 15 minutes last night and make a card.  I used CPS's latest sketch, sketch 115.  Here is the card I made for the sketch:

Oh yeah...I am working on a project and I have a question for you....

What really makes you go "WOW!" when you look at a page or a card?  It doesn't have to be something you do but something that just blows you away.  If you  have an example, link us up.

CPS 114

Oh I just loved the sketch this week for CPS. Here's what I did for it...

And on a side note...everytime I hear "the virus formerly know as Swine Flu"...I laugh...makes me think of Prince. Funny, yes, but the news makes it seem so grim. And it is here. It makes me nervous just sending my son to school. I'm worried that my son will get it...bring it back, and then my baby will get it. Anybody else worried?

Here's my CPS card for the week.  I keep looking at it and all I see is white space!  LOL...it's hard for me, I have to resist the urge to add more.  

I didn't get much done last night...I watched too much tv.  :)  I watched American Idol, and then Lost, and then this movie called "Belle and the Beast: A Christian Romance."  Wow...that was a lot of tv for one night.  Tonight...no tv for me.

So I did get the CPS sketch done this week, sketch 95.  I used the Pink Paislee papers that were on my desk.  :)  They have been on my desk all week.  In fact I have two more layouts to share with you later today (but I still have to take a picture of one of them).  Anyways...here's my card:

Glitter This, Glitter That

Remember my post about how I needed to put away the puffy paint.  Well now...I need to put away the glitter!   My room looks like a glitter tornado came through.  :)  I've been adding it to everything lately.  I guess it is just something about Christmas...wanting things to sparkle.

CPS 89

Got another Christmas card done tonight.  I followed the CPS sketch up right now...CPS 89.  I really like how it turned out.  I am lovin' the papers by Imaginisce...you may have seen them on previous projects, and I am finishing up a few projects that use a lot of them!  The line is called "Snowy Jo", and Jen sent me some awhile ago.  The rub-on's are from Creative Imaginations.  This is not my typical Christmas card, but I really like it.  :)

CPS Cards

Happy Halloween everybody!  It seems weird to be posting Christmas cards on Halloween...but that is what I am about to do.  :)  I did the new sketch (88) over at CPS this morning.  I actually made two cards based off the sketch.  If you haven't been to the CPS site yet, you should check it out...what a great resource for getting all those Christmas cards done.  Anyways, here is what I did:

Christmas Card

Yeah, I made another Christmas card....I can just feel that the pressure is off this year.  What I mean, is that I always make my Christmas cards, and I am a last minute kind of gal.  :)  I usual am scrambling around to get them all done by my deadline.  But this year, I have already made a lot...I am way ahead of schedule for me.

For this one, I used the sketch over at CPS...sketch 87.  Here it is:

When I saw the CPS sketch for the week, I couldn't not do it...I had so many scraps sitting on my desk and this sketch was perfect for using scraps.  It's been awhile since I did a CPS sketch, so it was nice to do one again.  Here's the card I made:

A Card

Here's a quick card I made.  I used Sketch 78 at CPS.  I decided to play around a bit and see what it looked like if I adhered the sheer ribbon from Maya Road to the card with blobs of ink.  :)  Always got to try new things, right?  This card came together super fast.
