Scrap and Stamp Challenge....

Have you played along yet?  What are you waiting for?  Dig out those stamps....you know you have them, and make a page for the challenge!  :)  The next challenge was listed this morning.  The challenge is to make a water layout...has to have something to do with water, but it can be anything (boating, swimming, fishing, bathing, etc.).  You also have to use two patterned papers, three types of embellishments, and at least one stamped image on your layout.  Here's the layout I made for the challenge:

I also used this for a July project for Creative Chaos.  I am SO sad that this is my last month on DT for CC.  I LOVE her journaling spots!   If you haven't checked her out...seriously, check it out...her stuff is FAB!  :)  Here are some close up's of my layout:

I did a collage of journaling spots and put them behind my chipboard heart.  :)

Well I hope you have an AWESOME weekend!   And seriously, come play along with us at Scrap and Stamp (they DO have a prize).

Supplies for "Gone Swimming":
Papers--Fancy Pants, Chipboard--Rusty Pickle, Journaling Spots--Creative Chaos, Letter Stickers--My Little Shoebox, Stamps--Pink Paislee and Scarlet Lime, Ink--Stampin' Up!, Pearls--Basic grey, Thread--Prism.

Scrap and Stamp

Scrap and Stamp's second challenge is up, and it is an easy one! It's a birds and butterflies challenge.  Our sponsor, Sweet and Sassy Stamps has several digital stamp sets and the design team got to play with the A Bug's Life stamp set!  Here's the layout I made for the challenge:

I just printed the digital stamps on patterned paper and cut them out.  I also used my journaling spots from Creative Chaos!  Here are some close-up's of my layout:

And my boys played along with me on this challenge.  One afternoon I printed off enough for everyone and we all scrapped.  :)  They loved it and it was something for us to do.  Here are the layouts they did...

Austin (age 5...actually just turned 6 yesterday but he was 5 when it made this):

and Hayden's (age 4):

Thanks for the challenge Scrap and Stamp, and I really hope you all play along!  :)

SC Sketch 147 + Unity All Week

Hi everybody!  This is going to be a long post today because I am combining the sketch for today and my first post for Growing in Unity: Unity all week long!  Yep...you read that right.  I will have a project posted with Unity Stamp Company stamps every day this week.  I have some layouts, I have some cards, and I have some fun other stuff!  :)   If you are new to my blog you may not know this (if you have been here before you definitly know) but I LOVE UNITY!  So bring it on!

And today is Monday...which means I post a new sketch.
Here's the sketch for today:

And here is my layout, using Unity!

Close up's:

I used stamps from the May Kit of the Month ("Another Sweet Day").  I made them look like the patterned paper I was using.  To check out other projects I have made using Unity stamps click here.

I also used my journaling spots from Creative Chaos.

And here are some other samples of the sketch, from some of the SC girls...

Sookie Francisco--

Thanks for checking us out.  If you do the sketch, please leave a link so we can check you out and leave some love.  :)  Or post in the Scrapbook Challenges group for a chance to win some goodies.

Now I will leave you with one random tip: Before you layer...save what you can use.

I knew I was going to put my lined paper on my paper from Prima.  I knew I would be covering that cute rainbow and bird up.  So before I layered, I cut it out and saved it to use later (or you could always layer it on the top of the layout you are working on).  :)

Have a great Monday!!!!!!

Supplies for my page:
Papers--Prima Marketing, Stamps--Unity Stamp Company, Ink and markers--Stampin' Up!, Journaling Spots--Creative Chaos, Chipboard--Magistical Memories, Maya Mist (sprayed on chipboard)--Maya Road, Glitter--Scribbles, Gems--Jenni Bowlin.

More of my backside. :)

I did have time to create another layout last weekend for Webster's "Show Us Your Backsides" contest I was telling you about.  The contest is over now, but check out what everybody else didhere.  Here's the layout I made:

I did use the journaling jotter from Creative Chaos.  I just can't stop using her stuff!  Unfortunately my term as DT for Creative Chaos is coming to an end.  June is my last month.  But look for a DT call to come.  It has been such an awesome experience working with Jenn at Creative Chaos.  And you know I will still be using her stuff long after my DT reign ends.  :)

I am your first stop on the hop.

Scrapbook Challenges

I started my little group of scrapbookers on myspace in January of 2007! We are now at over 1700 members! That is just incredible to me. If you are on myspace, we would love for you to come visit us. I know that myspace is not as "in" as facebook is now :) but it can still be a fun place to be. You can find our "little" group at http://groups.myspace.com/Scrapbookchallenges. We have multiples challenges and a sketch issued every Monday. And everyone who completes a challenge gets entered into a drawing for a prize from our monthly sponsor. And we have had some great sponsors! This month is Studio Calico. :) Anyways...

This weekend we are spotlighting the fabulous DT at Scrapbook Challenges. And what better way to do that then a fun blog hop. And what's a fun blog hop without some fabulous prizes. :)

4 Fabulous Prizes, 4 Lucky Winners!

1. Our first RAK is the May main kit from Scarlet Lime!!!! Click here for pics of the kit and a list of contents. How do you get a chance to win this? All you have to do is participate in this blog hop and leave a comment on all of the blogs! It's not a long blog hop...there are only 9 of us. So start with me and leave a comment! Then hop on!

2. Our second RAK goes to one lucky person who plays along with us this weekend. We will have an exclusive blog hop sketch that I will post below. All you have to do is make a layout based on the sketch. Then you can post a link to it here on my blog or in the Scrapbook Challenges group here. What is the prize for this one? The "Glossary" add-on kit AND the Carter Stamp Set from Studio Calico:

3. The third RAK requires a little detective work. :) The prize is this awesome stamp set from Unity Stamp Company:

You get entered into the drawing for this one by sending me an email, to pamelacy@msn.com, with the answers to these questions:
1. Which one of the DT members can taste something from a restaurant 1 - 2 times and recreate that meal? (Such an AWESOME skill by the way)
2. Which member of the DT almost made it to the national fencing team when she was in college?
3. Which DT member daydreams of painting her mustang Barbie pink?
4. Which Scrapbook Challenges DT member was missing from our blog hop this weekend?

4. And just because we didn't have enough to give away already. :) I wanted to throw in my own personal RAK. Just leave me a comment on my blog but make sure you tell me one random fact about YOU and you can win this:

All winners will be announced Monday May 25th!

Wow...such a long post already. Sorry, but it is SO worth it. :)

Here is the sketch I designed just for this blog hop:

Unity KOTM Blog Hop!

Yeah!  It's here!  You have heard me sing Unity Stamp Company's praises.  They are absolutely my favorite stamp company!  And no, I am not on their DT nor do I work for them in any way.  :)  So I am honored to participate in their Kit of the Month Blog Hop today!

If you are just stopping in...join us!  Make sure you start at the Unity blog.  (Begins at 11am CST).

For this blog hop, I decided to make layouts with each of the last three kit of the months.  I am still eagerly awaiting May's KOTM so I used the KOTM's from April, March, and February.  And all of my layouts use at least 4 different stamps from the kit.  :)

Here's the layout I made with April's KOTM: Fresh Beginnings.

And some close up's:

And here's my layout that I made with March's KOTM: Simple Life.

ScrapLovers Reveals Part 1

Oh, it was a challenge for me this month.  :)  My DT kit from ScrapLovers included the wonderful "Ever After" papers from Cosmo Cricket, the embellishments from the "Girl Friday" line from Cosmo Cricket (does NOT really go with the Ever After line) and then some cardstock from Core'dinations (with purple and pink cores).  I took one look at it all and thought "wow...this is going to be tough, none of it goes together."  BUT I LOVE what I did.  :)  It was a challenge, but a good one.  I need to use stuff that doesn't go together more often.

Here's my first layout.  On this one I really tried to use some of it all, and this is my new favorite layout.  :)

I added some of my April DT stuff from Creative Chaos to my layouts, here are close up's of those:

And my second layout doesn't use the Girl Friday embellishments, but I added some of the fabulous sheers from Maya Road, you can find those in the ScrapLovers store here.

Close-up's:

So, maybe you should go to your stash, pick out some of your favorites that DON'T match and make a page.   Maybe you will love the outcome as much as I did.  Have a great weekend everyone!
