Scrap That Baby!

Hello everyone! Hope you having a fantastic week! I was asked to be a guest designer for Scrap that Baby this week. Scrap that Baby is a challenge blog that gives you prompts that help you scrap your baby. It is geared to be about or useful to a child under 4. The prompt this week is "a few of my favorite things." Here is the layout I made:

I started off taking pictures of some of Eryn's favorite toys, but then I thought..."hey, let's keep it honest" and talked about some of her real favorite toys like tv remotes and dvd player buttons. Oh and of course...my glasses...she is constantly trying to grab my glasses. :)

MLS!!! :)

I am SUPER excited to share with you that I will be staying on the My Little Shoebox for another year. :) I have loved every minute of working with them and I am so thrilled that I get to continue to do so. Their papers are like butter in my hands...so easy to work with!!! Make sure you check out the MLS blog to see who else is on the new team! It is fabulous. :)

Here's a new MLS layout for you. It uses the All a Flutter line. You will see many more projects with this line soon too.

The whole layout was put together using Helmar adhesives. I used primarily Helmar 450 Quick Dry adhesive. But I did use the V2 Vellum spray to adhere my overlays, and then I used Zapdots to pop up my scallop circle frame.

As you can see from this pic. I popped up the frame with the Zapdots and then I was able to wrap the twill that I used around the frame. Then I just adhered the edge down.

Scrap and Stamp Saturday

Hi everyone! The challenge at Scrap and Stamp is up. The challenge is to create a scrapbook layout with stamping and mixed alphas for your title. Here's what I did for the challenge:

I used two stamp fonts and corrugated letters for my title.

All of my stamps are from Unity Stamp Company. Some of the stamps are pretty subtle. On my background I stamped a couple stamps in a shade that was barely darker then the cardstock.

I am embarking on a very very busy week. I do have posts schedule to go up though, but both my sister and my sister in law are getting married! So we have lots of "before wedding" activities and family stuff going on. And soon we will be on vacation. Also will have some posts scheduled. But if you are trying to get ahold of me, it may take awhile for a response (like if you ask a question on one of my posts)....just know I am not ignoring you. :)

Fun Stamps and Creative Uses for Packaging

Hi everyone! Tattered Angels and Pink Paislee has partnered this month so I have some project to share with you that use them both. They also use Helmar. :)

There are a couple things I want to point out on this layout. Notice the frame around the title? Well I cut that from one of the boxes that Tattered Angels' Glimmer Screens come in. And that swirl is cut from the plastic part that came with one of their stamps. I also used Glimmer Mist, the butterfly Glimmer Screen, and some Glimmer Chips from Tattered Angels. The title kind of pops up a little. Here's a close up:

It's kinda hard to tell even in this picture. But the letter stickers are on top of the clear plastic part which kind of bubbles up off the page. I used Helmar 450 Quick Dry adhesive to put this page together.

On this layout I used some stamps from the Time Traveler stamp set. I love using stamps on my layouts and Tattered Angels has fabulous stamps! I also used a Glimmer Screen, Glimmer Mist, a frame from a Framed Fonts collection and Glimmer Glass. It's funny, because if the boys go out front to play or ride their bikes, then this is where you will find Eryn. She stands at the window and watches...longing to be with her brothers. That was definitely something I wanted to capture and remember. This layout was also put together using Helmar 450 Quick Dry Adhesive.

Ok, and one last project, another project you can create from your packaging...

Did you notice what that is that I used for the base of my project? It is the inside packaging that comes with Glimmer Chips. :) I have a bunch of them laying around and they were just begging to be used. On this project I also used Glimmer Mist, Calling Cards, Framed Fonts, and Glimmer Glass. This whole project was assembled using...wait for it, wait for it...Helmar 450 Quick Dry Adhesive. :)

A Whole Lot of Color!

Hi everyone! Thought I'd share my layout I made for Helmar. It uses papers and ribbon from Jillibean Soup. This week on the Helmar blog the designers are all featuring projects using Jillibean Soup, so make sure you check it out to see what others have done too. :) Here's my layout:

Isn't it bright and fun! :) The whole layout was put together using Helmar 450 Quick Dry adhesive. It was actually a challenge I gave myself because I was already running out of my favorite Helmar's Quick Fix Adhesive Runner. See, I have always been a tape runner kind of gal. Even after discovering Helmar, I tended to use the runner for most things and the 450 for embellishments, etc., not for paper on paper. But not this time! And now I love it even more! A little bit goes a long way and it stays tight. I was worried that the paper would wrinkle...but it doesn't! (If it does then you put way too much adhesive on it). It was perfect and easy and dried fast. Let me tell you...this will now be my main adhesive for everything. :)

Anyways, those chipboard trees are from Maya Road and then I used a bit of Glimmer Mist from Tattered Angels on the layout too.

MLS + Pencil Lines

So all the My Little Shoebox gals got to guest at Pencil Lines this month. This is the layout that I created for this sketch.

These are all photos I took with my iPhone one day when we were driving home. :) Very random shots...don't even know what made me take them.

The pen I used is this awesome Glaze Pen from Sakura. MLS partnered with Sakura and all of us DT gals received some of these pens. You have already seen some work featuring them but I am going to be pointing it out to you this month. :)

I just love the way those white overlays look on white cardstock. :) But on the tree, I thought I would try something different. I sprayed Glimmer Mist on the back of it. It takes a lot longer to dry but I still thought it was cool.

The line I used for this layout was the "Away We Go" line that I featured last month.
