Fifteen!

Today I am sharing a layout with you that I made for the Fancy Pants blog last month. It was for a post about rub-ons. And I used FIFTEEN rub-ons on my layout! :)

I used the AWESOME Off to School collection from Fancy Pants for this layout. I just LOVE this collection!

I created a grid of patterned paper and rub-ons. I also added some rub-ons on the photos. Here are some close up's of my layout:

Stretch Your Chipboard!

Hi everyone!!! Today I am sharing some cards with you as well as some ideas on how to stretch your chipboard and get more use out of them. All of my chipboard is from Magistical Memories. I still have a bunch in my stash and still love it! :)

Here's a simple card I made using the Nesting Circles.

I first glued them on paper and then cut them into two pieces. I made a rainbow for my card. Then I used to remaining pieces to make this card:

I also used the bird on the above card.

Another idea is this...

For the above card I used the Owl Hang Around piece and sprayed it with some Glimmer Mist. Before spraying it, I put a piece of cardstock behind it. Then I used that cardstock for this card:

And added some leaves to it.

The papers for all of these cards come from Echo Park.

On my playlist

I was going to make a post with several songs in it...but I decided this song needed it's own post. This has been a very rough year for me, and this has been like my theme song. I would get in my car and literally sing along as loud as I could as if I was yelling at all around me and even more specifically at the devil himself. The first time you hear it you may just think it is a silly, fun song. Oh...but it has been so much more for me. Read the words.

I received an email from Nadia last week asking me to be a part of the Once Upon A Sketch design team! I checked out the site and it's fantastic!!! A Sketch For You

I found this sketch on my computer...it was never posted anywhere. I originally made it for My Little Shoebox, but they didn't get to it before I left the team and probably thought they couldn't use it afterwards. So I am sharing it with you, maybe you will be inspired by it. :)

Longing

It's not a duty, it's a longing! Truth told, it may start off as a duty. But you have to get to a point where it is so much more then that...where it is a true longing to sit at the feet of Christ. I have been there lately, and I have never felt more fulfilled! And I'm not DOING anything! I can't say that I've saved the world or brought many to Christ. I haven't fulfilled some long lost purpose. I am feeling fulfilled simply because of my time in the Word, my time spent with God.

"The Lord will fight for you; you need only to be still" Exodus 14:14 (one of my new favorites)

"Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength." Deuteronomy 6:5

"Even now," declares the Lord, "return to me with all your heart, with fasting and weeping and mourning....Return to the Lord your God, for He is gracious and compassionate, slow to anger and abounding in love." (Joel 2:12 and part of Joel 2:13)

Happy World Card Making Day! Guess what I am sharing today? You betcha...cards! :) But you'll also want to scroll down to the end because I have a giveaway and some links you'll want to check out. ;)

First up...

This card uses papers from Echo Park Paper Company and chipboard from Magistical Memories. :) That cute "hello friend" stamp is from American Crafts (Love Struck Set). I made this card after making this layout and wanted to take that idea to a card. :)

This pretty card uses papers, gems, flowers and lace from Prima Marketing. I stamped that saying on fabric and added it to the card. The stamp is from Unity Stamp Company. Those circles on the dotted paper were just punched out, then I drew little hearts in them using 3D paint.

And then here is a card using the fabulous Summer's End collection from Fancy Pants Designs. I actually used their ribbon packaging to draw the shape for my card. It didn't turn out perfect, but it is good enough for me. :) I have always said that perfection is way overrated.
