Another Canvas

Yep...another one of my fun canvas projects. I just love doing these. This one I made as a gift for my sister and her boyfriend who just got a house together. So this was my house-warming gift to them. :)

The sun is paint mixed with molding paste. And see that bottom left hand corner...I transfered some patterned paper! That was fun. :) The papers and stickers are all from Pebbles Inc.

First Scrap and Stamp Challenge

So today is the first challenge ever over at Scrap and Stamp. The challenge was two-fold. First, you must use a sketch designed by yours truly.

I have posted this one before on my blog.

Secondly, it should have a Summer theme.

Oh...and of course, it must include stamping. :)

So, this is the layout I made for the challenge:

Journaling reads:

"Summer break = All Play All Day to the boys, but seriously...how long can you guys go up and down the road over and over again driving, or pushing, a toy? Over and over and over..."

Confession time. I love making sketches. Don't particularly love using them though. :) And I am not completely happy with this layout of mine. But that is ok, right!

The Amazing Race--Wish me luck!

Have you heard of The Amazing Race???? No not that one! The Rusty Pickle one! :) Well they announced the finalists on their blog today. These are the people that get to compete in The Amazing Race. And guess who's little old name was on the list. :) Yep. me. So wish me luck and I hope you follow along! I am very excited about this...but I also feel a little nervous...especially with all these cryptic messages I keep getting telling me to rest up cause I am going to need it. I've heard people say they got like no sleep during the last one. Hmmm.....

I got THE question.

Some people have said that I seem to succeed at everything I do. Well let me tell you the truth…I fail too. You may not notice it that much because I have a nasty habit. I am a perfectionist. If I don’t think (or know) that I can be great at it…I don’t try at all. It’s something I wish I could change about me. I shouldn’t be afraid of failing. Think of all I will miss out on if I go through life never trying the things I think I can’t be perfect at.

And yesterday I got the question I had been dreading. I was changing Eryn's diaper and Austin came in. He looked a little confused (I didn't catch on) and asked "Mom...can Eryn not go pee yet?" (Me, still not catching on...) "What are you talking about, she can go pee...I am changing a diaper because she went pee." Austin: "But she doesn't have the part of the body for the pee to come out." (OOHHHHH!)

More of my backside. :)

I did have time to create another layout last weekend for Webster's "Show Us Your Backsides" contest I was telling you about. The contest is over now, but check out what everybody else didhere. Here's the layout I made:

I did use the journaling jotter from Creative Chaos. I just can't stop using her stuff! Unfortunately my term as DT for Creative Chaos is coming to an end. June is my last month. But look for a DT call to come. It has been such an awesome experience working with Jenn at Creative Chaos. And you know I will still be using her stuff long after my DT reign ends. :)

Circles and Rose Moka

Ever had a designer's products that you like but you can never find? That's how it is for me with Rose Moka. For some reason nobody in the US carries their stuff...especially their newer stuff. So I ordered some papers, and they took A LONG time to get here. But I did get some of their newer lines. Here are a few layouts I made with them...

Notice all the fun things you can do with circles! I used them in all of these layouts.

Those black circles are plastic and before putting them on my page I used them as a mask and sprayed glimmer mist around them on my page...see that? Then I wiped them off and put them on my page. :)

This second one I am still not quite sure about. I feel like it still needs something, but I couldn't figure it out so I set it aside and called it finished. :)

And this third layout is actually similar to a layout I made a long time ago. Ever find yourself doing that?

Waste not! I cut circles out of my paper and places patterned paper behind them. But then I still used the circles I cut out by placing them on top of the paper in other spots. :)
