I have a confession to make. I am SO totally into vampires. :) It's funny, me saying that, because I never thought I would say such a thing. But I read the Twilight books, and loved them. Then I started reading other vampire books and even other sci-fi and supernatural type books, and I am totally lovin' them. As a teenager and young adult, I never understood THOSE people. :) And now I am one of them. My husband gets a kick out of it too.

And I know there are a ton of you out there that have made your twilight pages, but I hadn't done that yet. But of course, I was inspired to do just that after receiving this stamp set. :)

So here's my layout:

I used the Breathless stamp set, the one pictured above. And I can't take credit for the pictures of the books. I was searching my books today because I knew I wanted to take a picture of them for this layout, but then I remembered that I lent them to a friend. So I grabbed some from the internet. :)

Adhesive

I am constantly getting asked questions about adhesive, specifically about Helmar adhesives since I design for them. The most common questions are 1) Which product do you use the most? 2) What are the differences between the products? and 3) Where can I buy them?

1) So I have realized that I use the same two products on almost all of my pages or cards. Want to know what they are? I use Helmar's Premium Craft Glue and Helmar's Liquid Scrap Dots. I'll mix it up sometimes and add something else along with those, like the Zapdots or I will replace the Premium Craft Glue with the 450 Quick Dry Adhesive (which I would probably use all the time but I have less of it), but for the most part, those two products seem to be the ones I reach for the most.

So naturally I thought I'd share a new project with you today where I used the Premium Craft Glue and Liquid Scrap Dots to adhere it all together. :)

I used the fabulous "Love Birds" line from Fancy Pants Designs. :) I know I am going to get asked, so I better just share...I scanned the little spot with the tree and enlarged it and printed it. It didn't matter that the resolution didn't turn out great because I wanted to use it as a template. I put it over my paper and poked holes around the tree and then removed my "template" and did the stitching. You can use this method for making your own templates of any kind. Here are some close up's of my layout:

2) Here is a chart that Tracy posted on the Helmar blog explaining the differences between the adhesives. But, there are definitely some things I would change...like it says that the Liquid Scrap Dots aren't perfect for paper...well I beg to differ, I use them on paper all the time. :)

3) Hobby Lobby carries a small selection of Helmar products in some of their stores. But there are many online stores that carry Helmar products. Here is one online store that I have ordered from that carries them: Scrap-Tastic.

It's going to be a crazy week!

So I am knee deep in creating for CHA. And last night, I pretty much ran out of everything. I ran out of photo paper, and then I basically ran out of adhesive. I have things like the awesome Zapdots, but I don't want to have to put a whole layout together with those. I spent the morning running around trying to gather up any more supplies I may need. And of course, last night I decided the layout I was working on needed a certain color of embroidery floss...couldn't use what I had on hand. :) It's crazy. But I love it. I can't wait to share everything with you! I will start sharing sneaks of things I am working on soon.

But I do have something to share with you today, a card.

The stamps come from the Kit of the Month at Unity. That ribbon is from Really Reasonable Ribbon. The ribbon I used is from the Bright Stripes Assortment. And then the chipboard is from the fabulous Magistical Memories. I used part of the Nesting Heart. I mixed some old embossing pearls (that I didn't think would ever use because of color) into my paint to create the texture.

I used the Premium Craft Glue from Helmar to put it all together.

Ok...well I need to get back to work. :)

Cute as a Button

So right now I am playing and creating for CHA. A bunch of stuff I can't show you yet. :) Man I LOVE getting to play with new stuff! I know...it's not fair. But I do have some stuff to share with you that I haven't share here yet.

These projects all use the Cute as a Button line from My Little Shoebox.

First, I made this to hang on my daughter's wall.

I started with a wood piece from Say it With Letters. That ribbon is from Really Reasonable Ribbon. I guest designed for them this month. The ribbon I used is from the Bright Stripes Assortment. I'll be sharing the rest of what I did for them soon. :)

I know, I know...I owe you winners.

I have a confession to make...I HATE this part. Not the giving away part or the making someone's day part. But, I hate picking a winner and then going through every blog and looking through the comments to make sure that particular person posted on every blog.
